Saif Ali Khan expresses gratitude to auto rickshaw driver; gives him Rs 50K for taking him to hospital posting attack- Report

Earlier today – Wednesday, January 22, actor Saif Ali Khan met auto driver Bhajan Singh Rana. For those who do not know, Rana is the person who took Khan to Bandra’s Lilavati Hospital during the wee hours after he was stabbed several times during a home burglary on Thursday, January 16.

After being discharged yesterday, Khan met Rana today and now details about it have been revealed. Read on to know all about it.

Saif Ali Khan gifts auto rickshaw driver Rs 50K

Post his meeting with Saif Ali Khan, ETimes interacted with auto rickshaw driver Bhajan Singh Rana and quizzed about their meeting. When asked about what Saif told him, the driver said, “Unhone kaha tumne time pe pahunchaya badhiya hai (He told me, you made me reach the hospital on time and thanked me).”

On being probed further if the actor gave him any money, Rana replied, “Woh toh wohi jaante hai. Hum baat nahi kar sakte. Humari koi maang nahi hai. Woh joh de woh theek, na de toh theek. Unhone joh diya humne le liya. (That is something which he knows. I didn’t think of any money, nor did I have any demands. And it’s not my prerogative to talk about it. I just took whatever he gave me and I am happy with it as it was not really about any money).”

However, a source in the know informed ETimes that Saif Ali Khan gifted the auto rickshaw driver Rs 50,000 as a token of appreciation and to say thank you.
